I took these quick snaps of my two poufs...actually one is a footstool and I bought both quite a few years ago at a great little second hand store in Kittery, Maine. I think I paid $40 for each piece. Both are leather, but the colorful pouf is the showstopper. It has a tiny rip in one seam, but, otherwise is in great condition. I love both of these as they match any decor and go with a couple of my chairs.  Poufs are still all the rage and haven't really gone out of style have they? My stool in particular looks very vintage to me -

White noise is actually soothing and I like to hear something at night while I try to fall asleep, like a fan.  I have had a lot of stress in my life lately so looking at these beautifully soothing photographs that I have collected on my favorite board on Pinterest really calms me and makes me feel good.  Color is great, but, sometimes, to just quiet your mind and relax, white does the trick. My next home will definitely look like one of these photos...I've decided its a must!  How about you? What have you done in your home that really speaks to you and relaxes you? Whew! I am finally back and posting!! I have been vacationing in England and just returned this week and had to get back to work with two long days, so I haven't had a lot of time to post. 


Since I spend my days in a kitchen and bath showroom, and I wear a LOT of black and white, the simplicity of these bathrooms really struck a chord with me.  When choosing colors for your home, designers will often suggest looking to the closet for inspiration and with me, I really do have an inordinate amount of black and white. I am petite, so I don't like to wear big, bold patterns...the simpler, the better without a lot of details like ruffles, belts or flair.  I could live with any of these, how about you??

I am so sorry I haven't posted in ages...I have had a lot going on and unfortunately, it has been interfering with my ability to enjoy myself and my blog!  But, I am off to London on Saturday morning and it couldn't happen at a better time.
